Established in 2020, Classic Stems continues to grow organically off the back of orders for bouquets received from local customers. I am a sustainable freelance florist professionally trained in floristry fundamentals, weddings and events by a prestigious London-based Flower Studio who provided the floral display for the wedding of the Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Described as “the Vivienne Westwood of flowers”, my floral designs are wild and romantic, inspired by nature and architecture to create wonderfully free-flowing and relaxed floral arrangements reflective of an English cottage garden. I work almost exclusively with local growers and when sourcing flowers from overseas I ensure the flora comes from fair-trade farms wherever possible. I use sustainable mechanics instead of florist foam (a non-biodegradable plant product often used in floristry).
Being an eco-friendly florist I obtain just enough flowers to meet demand.
No stock. No waste. Just affordable, fresh flowers.
I use a combination of the freshest flowers hand-picked and sourced in the early hours of the morning from local growers, flower markets and seasonal flowers grown in my cutting garden and sprinkled with a little bit of foraging whilst walking Rosie the dog.
